3. If you have an ax to grind take it off-line in PM's or email, not in the forums.
4. This is a family friendly, work friendly forum. No foul language or images.
5. Be kind and helpful to newbies. It's always bothered me on other forums when someone asks a question that may have been answer already and the response is "use the search button." Answer their question if you desire or link them over to the thread with the info.
6. Paid advertisers. You are free to post info about your company, new products or specials as often as you like.
7. Non vendor commercial posts. No problem if you post a link
or send someone over to a product discussed in the context of a post
as long as you keep it within reason. No need to pepper the same
commercial link throughout posts. If we find them, we will delete
them.
No commercial posts by vendors or manufacturers unless you are an APL sponsor. No commercial names in forum signatures or web links as forum member names (i.e. BobSmith.com.
APL does offer banner advertising if you are interested in promoting
your product.
8. If you are having an issue with a vendor, APL advertiser or not, please take every measure possible off-line to resolve the issue before airing it in a public manor. On the other hand, no one wants to see a fellow member get taken by a dishonest vendor so again sharing is good. Just remember, most all vendors have had an issue or two in the past. Think before you post.
9. APL reserves the right to delete, remove posts or cancel a membership at our
discretion. However, that is our least favorite task to deal with so we hope the need will be few and far between as we value each and every member here.
10. APL expects all vendors, advertisers or not, to handle members with the same dignity, honesty and respect they would like to receive from them.
